Marble is different from most other stones because it is extremely porous. In other words, it allows dirt and stains to set and maintain much more easily than denser stone. For this reason it is not the most conventional cleaning media - especially harsh detergents and acids resist.

To do this, any kind of absorbent material, like blotting paper or facial tissue can easily be soaked in water and 20% hydrogen peroxide, placed over the spot and there for several hours. The stain should wipe off easily after this treatment. Rust stains are best removed with regular rust removers, but not in marble, which is exposed to them longer than absolutely necessary.
Marble is more with the fadeOver time. This does not mean necessarily affect its innate beauty. However, the luster can fade marble - are mainly due to domestic home floor - effectively rejuvenated. There are specialty cleaning agents such as tin dioxide available at most leading housekeeping stores. Used as manual polish or in combination with an electric floor polisher, this work wonders in refreshing the lost shine of marble.
